Artist Statement/Biography:
My imagery is inspired by my own direct experience of the natural world in conversation with the nature of paint and the painting process itself. Order, chaos, observation, impulse and memory transform through relationships of color and form to convey expansive poetic other worlds. Our 21st century lives are but thickets of “knowns and needs” whereas painting for me is a frontier preserved, the spirit of discovery alive and hopeful, the encounter of which connects us over and over again to our own originality and humanity.
