Suzanne Hodes

Ms Hodes has exhibited in over 100 group and one-person shows in the Boston and New England  area, New York City  and San Francisco and her work is part of many private, corporate  and museum collections here and abroad.  These include the Boston Public Library, the Fogg Art Museum, The De Cordova Museum, Rockefeller Universtiy,Casali Institute in Jerusalem, Hale and Dorr, Cabot Corp.  etc.

Recently she completed a painting commission for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, called “Visions of Boston.”   In recent years she had  solo shows  at the Schlesinger Library at Radcliffe, The Striar Jewish Community Center  in Stoughton  and at the Joan Whalen Gallery in New York City.  This Spring she had a solo show  of paintings and prints “Reflections”,  at the Artana Gallery in Brookline.

This summer in July  Hodes is showing paintings  at the Rotenberg Gallery on Newbury Street in  show titled  “Four Views of Feminine Vision.” The show will include paintings inspired by Copley Square,  the view from the prudential Building,  and the view looking north from the World Trade Center in New York (based on sketches and photos taken by the artist in the late 80’s)

At Open Studios Ms. Hodes will show her recent “River Reflections “ series of gestural  paintings on canvas and paper inspired by  changing light and motion., and several of her newest City series.
